Skip the line. A tour which is suitable for children as there is no waiting in long snaking lines to enter the world-famous attractions. Once you have decided your pick-up point, be it the airport or hotel or somewhere else in the city, your private city guide takes over, and your first stop is Capitoline Hill. From here, you will enjoy the breathtaking views of the ancient temples, Roman Forum, the Senate house where important decisions were made about Rome in ancient times, Triumphal-archers, Sacred Way – where you will see ruins of buildings of the past and Basilicas.

The Roman Forum, as your guide will explain to you was the religious, political, and commercial hub of Ancient Rome. Today, this whole area is a World Heritage Listed Property and protected by UNESCO for its preservation and conservation of one of the most important archaeological sites in the world.
Tour Inclusions:

Piazza del Campidoglio
This is one of the most beautiful squares in Rome and was designed by none other than Michelangelo. No square can be complete without sculpture or statue, and you will be awed by the Statue of Marcus Aurelius. He was the father of the ruthless Commodus, and his imposing bronze equestrian statue is a testament to Roman authority and worship.
Circus Maximus
The next stop is the chariot-racing stadium of the past. The famous movie, Ben Hur was shot here for its chariot-racing scenes. From here, you will be able to view Palatine Hill, which was notable for the residences of nobility. Today, all is left is ruins of once sprawling villas and palaces.
Colosseum Visit
The tour continues to the Colosseum where your guide will share stories of the gladiators and the animals, the triumphs and tragedies, the highs, and lows. Look around you as you imagine that at one time, up to 80,000 spectators were watching the spectacle in the arena. Fire away questions at your guide. There are many secrets to be revealed.
Piazza Venezia, Quirinal Palace, Trevi Fountain
You will now hop back into your vehicle, and we will take a round of the Piazza Venezia. Located in the heart of Rome, the square is surrounded by very famous monuments. Your guide will point out the Il Vittoriano, a marble monument dedicated to King Victor Emmanuel II- the first king of Italy. Next stop is the Quirinal Palace which is one of the residences of the Italian president. A trip to Rome and not tossing a coin in the Trevi Fountain is unheard of. This is one of the world’s most famous fountains and the grandest of baroque fountains found anywhere else. As you toss the coin, wish well for others, yourself, and make a wish to come back again soon.
Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, Pamphilj Palace
Steps in shoes of poets, writers, painters who all took a fancy to the Spanish Steps. It was a favourite hangout of the Roman nobility. You will pass Palazzo Chigi which is the residence of the prime minister of Italy and also pass by the Italian Parliament. Next stop is the meeting place of modern-day Rome citizens in the city, Piazza Navona. It is adorned by the Pamphilj Palace which is currently houses the Brazil embassy and the breathtaking Bernini’s fountains.
Pantheon
Under the orders of Emperor Hadrian, the Pantheon was constructed as a temple to all gods. The dome is the largest unsupported dome in the world and is beautifully preserved. Your guide will show you the tombs of famous Romans such as the artist Raphael, poets and several Italian Kings.
Lunch Break For Your Rome In One Day Tour
Enjoy from one of the many café’s located opposite the Pantheon. Try some lovely pastries, or sandwiches, try a gelato or have an iced coffee. Relax for a bit before the tour continues.
Vatican – Home to the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica
