The Belvedere courtyard was built to link the Vatican and the Belvedere ( which is a structure built to take in views of a location). Here you will see the famous marble sculpture of Apollo Belvedere, which is regarded as one of the most beautiful sculptures in the world for its exquisite craftsmanship. The statue of Laocoön and His Sons is almost life-sized and depict a scene of them struggling from the clutches of sea serpents
